Artisans of Metal and Thread now offers three options for students who are interested in investing focused time to learn the art of silversmithing.
6-Week Learn to Silversmith Workshop Series (12 Hours)
This 6-week course will guide you through the basics of silversmithing including soldering, wire working, hammering, bezel setting, and sawing. Classes will meet according to your schedule and availability. Class availability Monday through Friday 9am to 5pm once per week for 2 hours.

Student Directed 40-hour Curriculum
An intensive journey into metal smithing where you supply the map. This course will cover the fundamentals to make the jewelry of your dreams and give you the confidence to work independently going forward. The student directed curriculum lasting 40 hours covers (but is not limited to) the following bench jewelry topics:
- Soldering
- Chain Making
- Settings (prong and bezel)
- Findings
- Milling
- Finishing
- Fabrication
All studio tool usage is included in the price. We will set the dates/times of the classes to meet your schedule. A non-refundable $225 deposit towards the cost of your class is due upon registration.

Intensive 120-Hour Curriculum
Take your skills to the next level. This advanced silversmithing course will allow you to dive deeper for longer. This course will build on the fundamentals covered in our 40-hour curriculum and provide more in-depth guidance and training.
All studio tool usage is included in the price. We will set the dates/times of the classes to meet your schedule. A non-refundable $225 deposit towards the cost of your class is due upon registration.
